Date Night Down By The Water

As much as I long for a summer picnic at the beach, I always find it to be such a daunting task to bring everything down to the sand. Umbrella, chairs, food, wine – there’s so much to think about. But once I get there, and set everything up, I always breathe a sigh of relief and think ” wow, this is so lovely, we should do this more often”. My husband and I told ourselves that we’re going to make the effort to have more date nights on the beach, because we both enjoy them so much. I’m always looking for ways to lighten our load, so my Victorinox Spartan Swiss Army knife with 13 functions – including a knife for slicing snacks, a corkscrew, and a scissors was the perfect tool to bring along. I also keep the Classic SD attached to my keychain and it always comes in handy on my summer adventures.

After our picnic on the beach, my husband and I both went home feeling so relaxed & refreshed. It’s amazing how doing something as simple as a picnic can improve your mood. Apparently hearing the waves crash along the shore for two hours was just what we needed. Cheers to more date nights al fresco!
