It wasn’t until I moved to LA that I realized how much I love wide open pastures and rolling hills. I’m from a small charming town in Pennsylvania, filled with cornfields and undeveloped land, but I always wanted to live in a bustling city. Now, I revel in the moments when I can be in the middle of nowhere. Jonny and I stumbled upon this gorgeous field when we were passing Griffith Park, and I was completely in awe of the mountains and lush green grass. Off in the distance people were horseback riding as dozens of butterflies milled about. It made me feel like I stumbled on to the set of the Sound of Music. My prairie skirt and paper parasol were perfect for the occasion. Now I know just the spot to sneak off to when I’m in need of mid-day respite from the city. Maybe I am still a small town girl at heart.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

    1. There’s a sense of opportunity and diversity that small towns just can’t replicate. Though I still love visiting my hometown every once in a while.
