Today I wore two trends at once: pleats and color blocking. The color blocking trend happens to be one of my absolute favorites because you can take colors that aren’t matchy matchy and group them together in one outfit. I stayed in the jewel tone family by pairing kelly green (yes, more kelly green!) with this beautiful royal purple. I added neutral accessories so that things wouldn’t get too busy.
What do you think? Do you love color blocking as much as I do?

  1. The tricky part about wearing a pleated skirt is where it hits on the waist…and this is perfect…because any lower and you'd be accenting the widest part and like this, the skirt cinches the waist and doesn't add extra volume where it shouldn't 😉
This is a fabulous skirt and beautiful color!!

    1. Thanks for all of the feedback ladies! I'm so glad you like this look.

Martha, I totally agree about the skirts falling too low on the waist sometimes! I actually had to use a safety pin to make it tighter at the waist so that it would hit where I wanted it to. Tricks of the trade, lol!
