Ah runway shows, how I love thee! I love that they make my heart flutter and make me dream about fashion. I also love that they help me to think outside the box and put together outfit combinations that I may not have thought of otherwise. Every time that I see a designers collection float down the runway of Paris fashion week, I am reminded that I’m doing exactly what I should be doing for a career. But the one thing that I don’t like about runway shows you ask? The fact that I can’t afford any of the pieces that make me weak in the knees. When I watched the Chanel Resort SS19 show, I was positively smitten. The tweed, the hats, the white tights! I didn’t know what to appreciate first. It was all so stunningly beautiful and classic. And while I know that half of the allure of “designer clothes” is the fact that they are somewhat unattainable, I still can’t help but covet them. When a designers collection bounces around in my head for long enough, or keeps me up at night, I finally decide to style it and put my own spin on things. As much as I would’ve loved the tweed jacket from the Chanel Runway Show, I decided to pull out this beautiful vintage number from my closet instead. I paired it with a white news boy cap, a cream colored mini skirt, gold pumps, and a round Chanel purse. I must say, wearing this outfit to lunch quenched my thirst for the Chanel runway collection and made me realize that you don’t have to spend a fortune to look (and feel!) like a million bucks.
Do you get lost in fashion magazines and looking at runways shows too? How do you cope with your fashion fomo?
Thanks so much for stopping by!

I do the same too I love to inspire me at fashion shows to create affordable outfits!
I like your blazer a lot, it looks so beautiful. Definitely looks like it has been taken from the runway. I like that it’s very light colored, perfect for spring.
What a lovely outfit and love everything about them. The large jacket is just so cute and the little white pearl ball is so Chanel. Great fashion sense.
That is a super cute look. It kind of reminds me of the clueless movie, I loved that as a kid. I remember wanting to dress that way but just didn’t have access to that type of stuff. Sounds like I was wrong and can do this on the cheap! Thanks for sharing!
