Simply Stylist Event 2012

Yesterday, I attended the 2012 Simply Stylist Event at The W hotel in Hollywood. I spent the day mingling with fellow fashionistas, shopping, listening to informative seminars, and eating delicious food. The seminar panelists shared their fashion knowledge and expertise with a room full of fashion hopefuls. The panelists included: Catt Sadler of E!; Brenna Egan, editor at Refinery29; Jamie Krell, style expert with features on The View and EXTRA; Kim and Alexis McClay (The Naven Twins), fashion designers; Jeanne Yang, celebrity stylist; and Shea Marie, fashion blogger of Cheyenne Meets Chanel. The panelists also shared the inside scoop on their break into the fashion industry, from trial by fire (think The Devil Wears Prada), to vomiting before an 8-hour long interview with Vogue.

Catt Sadler, of E!, and I chatted for so long. It was like talking to a long time friend, that I never knew I had. As the host of the event, not only was she extremely charming, but she worked the room with finesse.

I snapped a quick picture with “The Naven Twins” right before ducking in to the room next door to shop the Naven collection. So many beautiful things to choose from, i didn’t know where to start!
