Summer Dressing

Today was one of the hottest days that we have experienced yet this summer. I decided to beat the heat in this lovely printed dress which happens to be a linen blend. The dress came with a matching belt but, again, I decided to swap it for a pretty vintage one instead (tip: swapping out the provided belt with a higher end one is a quick  and easy way to make any bargain buy look instantly chic). Also, this dress had four little black shiny buttons at the top, (in the middle of the sweetheart neckline) I decided to cut them off because they made it difficult to pair it with a belt or a necklace. Sometimes things need minor at home alterations so before you toss something think to yourself, can I maybe shorten it, or remove the sleeves? Don’t be afraid to visit your tailor.
