Nestled in the beautiful, rolling hills of the Sonoma Valley lies a place filled with wine, awe inspiring landscapes and grape vines as far as the eye can see. It’s a place where girlfriends can go for a weekend retreat complete with yoga, farm-to-table cuisine, peaceful early morning strolls, relaxing spa days, endless laughter and of course, fabulous wine. The places are called the Vintners Inn and the Ferari Carano Winery. I was whisked away to the Russian River Valley, and I had no idea what a fabulous experience would be in store for me, but I enjoyed every moment of it.
On day one, we got to meet the local farmers who grow the produce that the hotel and restaurant serve, followed by a dinner in the vineyards where the chef told us about the inspiration for his cuisine and proudly toured us around his vegetable garden.
On day two we went to the fabulous Ferrari Carano winery to see the beautiful place where the hotel sources all of their wines, and boy was it a sight to see! A little slice of Italy right here in California. We enjoyed a tour of the property and got to see exactly how and where the wines were made followed by a tasting of some of their best grape varietals. I’ve always been a red wine girl but their Pinot Grigio had me re-thinking that.
The whole trip was magical and just what I needed to relax and re-charge. If you’re looking for a fun weekend getaway with your girlfriends this summer I would highly recommend the Vintners Inn and Ferari Carano Winery!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
