Two beauty posts in one week?! I’m really loving playing with makeup lately. Sometimes, I get totally stuck in a rut and do the same makeup routine over and over and over again, but lately, after playing around with makeup, I’ve been coming up with some really fun combinations. Today, I’ve partnered with Buxom Cosmetics to share how I created a custom eyeshadow palette using their new eyeshadow bar which has a selection of over 40 colors to choose from! Also, what’s even better than having a great variety is that their eyeshadows already have primer built in so you don’t have to worry about mid-day creasing or smudging of your shadow. I used my six shadow palette to create two easy looks. For daytime, I always love natural looking lids but instead of doing just my usual gold, I decided to add a touch of pink to the corner of my eyes for a fun pop of color. I added in pink lipgloss and lots of mascara to top things off. For my night look, I wanted to go super sultry so that meant a sexy smoky eye. I added a dark brown eyeshadow to the crease of my eyelids and added a little bit of lightly colored silver/grey shadow to my brow bone.  Since my eyes were smoky, I decided to keep my lips nude and applied some of their glossy lip cream — which happens to have a built in lip plumper that I can’t get enough out of!

Creating my own eyeshadow palette was so much fun! Most of the time when I buy a pre-made palettes at the store there are so many colors that I have to avoid because they either don’t flatter my skin tone or are just something that I wouldn’t wear. With this customizable palette, I was able to create a combination of colors that I know I’ll get plenty of use out of.

Do you ever have this problem? What colors would you use in your custom eyeshadow palette? Thanks so much for visiting me! Xoxo -E
