I still remember the first time I went abroad. My eyes got so big at every twist and turn. Seeing the culture around me was a sensory experience that I had never had never felt before. And, in that moment, I got bitten by the travel bug. Suddenly, I had this new found curiosity for the world around me and I wanted to discover every inch of it. I had become one of those “movers” that I was always hearing about. So now, I make it a priority to see as many sights as I can. As much as I love to get a new stamp on my passport, I recently started planning more local trips. We have so many hidden gems that are right under our noses here in the United States. That’s why one of my besties and I decided to plan a little road trip through the south.

One of the many stops on our journey, was to a beautiful and historic covered bridge in Gowensville, South Carolina. As you can imagine, covered bridges aren’t something that we have a lot of in California, especially LA, so we were tickled at the thought of seeing one. Of course, any adventure calls for great shoes that are not only stylish but also comfortable. Rockport’s pumps were just that. They took me from a lovely breakfast at our B&B to shopping on the streets of Tryon and strolling under this gorgeous red bridge. They were also perfect for a long day of driving. When I want a shoe that is polished, put together and comfortable I know that I can always count on Rockport and when I want it to arrive fast I know that I can count on Zappos. Shoes
that are perfect for the movers of the world. I like the sound of that.

I would love to hear about adventures that you have been on lately.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. Love this look! I've followed your blog for while and was shocked that I recognized one of your locations. If you're still on your tour of the south, check out Greenville, SC!
