What better way to make me feel lovely and ladylike than to dress up in a full skirted midi dress complete with polka dots, stripes and a sheer neckline. When I first laid eyes on this black Taylor dress I knew that it would be the perfect addition to my midi dress collection, and I was right. I styled it simply with a pearl necklace and matching blue accessories so that I could let the dress be the star of the show.

On another note, I’m so excited to share with you a fun collaboration that I’ve been working on with David Kind eyewear. Remember when I told you a few months ago (in this post) about my love for glasses? No not sunnies, but prescription glasses. When I was a little girl I would always tell my mother that I wanted glasses. “All my friends have them, why can’t I”? Well, it’s because I had 20/20 vision and they didn’t. I never stopped wanting them though. Finally, it dawned on me one day. I work in fashion — anything goes. So now I love pairing them with different outfits (like here & here) to create more of a serious geek-chic vibe. Most people are scared to order glasses online because it’s just one of those things where you really need to try them on, and I agree, that’s why I found the David Kind approach to be so genius. When you sign up for the site and upload a picture of yourself, their in-house stylist (no not a computer robot stylist but a real one) who has spent her career putting glasses on celebs, picks out the frames that work best with your face and curates a “try-on” set for you. Basically, they take all of the work out of finding new glasses and all that’s left is the fun part — trying them on at home! When you’re done you simply ship back the try-on set with your prepaid return label and your perfect pair arrives in just 5 business days. The toughest part of the process for me was narrowing it down. I had 4 pairs that I loved, but after having a FaceTime call with the David Kind team they helped me to narrow it down.  They take a very hands-on approach to eyewear to give customers a unique experience, and I must say, I’m a fan.

Be sure to check out their site here and their blog here for all of your eyewear needs.

Thanks so much for reading!
