This just in, I’m obsessed with Vitamin C! I learned about the importance of putting Vitamin C on my skin last year, and since then, I have been very diligent about applying it before bed, and the results have been nothing short of amazing! Typically when I get a blemish, it leaves me with an ugly scar in it’s wake, but since I’ve started using a Vitamin C serum, cream and/or oil(s), I’ve noticed that all of my acne scares have faded and my complexion looks brighter overall. Some of the other benefits of incorporating a Vitamin C product into your skincare routine include: a more even skin texture, boosting collagen production and neutralizing free radicals. As a fashion and beauty influencer you can imagine that I get to try A LOT of products, but not all Vitamin C products are created equal. It has been said that serums are more effective than creams because they get more absorbed into your skin, but I personally love to use a serum and a night cream together, so below I’ve listed a variety of my favorites. Today I’m sharing my top 5 that I use interchangeably and they have been making my skin look and feel its absolute best.

  1. Korres Wild Rose 15% Vitamin C Spotless Serum &Wild Rose Vitamin C Active Brighteneing Oil

My favorite thing about this Korres serum is that it has a slight identity crisis, and by that I mean it has drops of oil in it. Say what!? Are you an oil or a serum or a magic potion!? Well it’s kind of all of the above, and my skin really, really likes it. Most serums leave your skin feeling a bit sticky afterwards (which is normal), but this Korres serum leaves a slight oily texture that I just can’t get enough of. Sometimes when my skin is feeling really dry I skip the serum in favor of Korres’ Vitamin C Brightening oil, and it works like a charm too! I always have a dewy glow when I wake up in the morning.

2. Vichy LiftActiv Vitamin C Brightenening Skin Corrector

Vichy’s LiftActiv is the first highly-concentrated vitamin C product that I have ever used. It comes in a tiny bottle (about the size of my thumb) and one little drop goes a long way. I love to use it after I exfoliate because it makes my skin tingle a little bit, almost as if to say “I contain Vitamin C, hear me roar”.

3. MaryKay Timewise Replenishing Serum +C & TimeWise Vitamin C Activating Squares

MaryKay’s TimeWise replenishing serum and Vitamin C Activating squares are an absolutely delightful combination. The serum alone offers an easy Vitamin C boost, but when you open up one of the Vitamin C squares and add it to the mix, it makes it even more powerful! The square dissolves into the vitamin C like magic and glides easily over my skin. It’s almost as amazing to watch the square disappear as it is to watch my hyper pigmentation and acne scars disappear!

4. Ole Henrikson C-Rush Brightening Gel Creme

I tried Ole Henrikson’s C-Rush Brightening creme last year, and I was using it as a night cream (without a serum) and my favorite thing about this product was the texture. Most night creams have a bit of weight to them, and tend to be really thick and heavy, but this is a hybrid between a cream and a gel. It feels absolutely delightful on my skin and I love the wonderful citrus smell. If you want a night cream and a vitamin c product in one I highly recommend it!

5. Murad Advanced Active Radiance Serum

I used Murad’s Active Radiance Serum in conjunction with their entire orange line and if you know Murad, then you know that their different colored lines are for different skincare concerns. I loved that this serum was lightweight but almost had a lotion-like feel to it. Since this product contains 50x the potency of their prior generations, it is a great option if you are new to the skincare trend and want to add only one Vitamin C product to your skincare regimen.

Now that you’ve gotten the skinny on skincare are you going to think about incorporating a Vitamin C product into your skincare routine? I promise you won’t regret it!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Xoxo -E
